We designed this set for mobile hunting/scouting trips via horse. Few things are more annoying than having a backpack beat you to death while riding your horse. This set gives a rider the ability to mount a tripod to the exterior of their horse while mounting their spotting scope to the other side to remain balanced and also offers the ability to deploy it quickly. This set includes:
- (1) Modular Horn Bag Platform (Horn Cutout is 3")
- (1) Spotting Scope Bag
- (1)Tripod Carrier
As a reference, the spotting scope bag can comfortably fit the older Vortex Razor spotting scope w/ 85mm objective lens and angled eyepiece. Anything larger would be tight.
*The Tripod carrier is also an excellent attachment to carry a cased fly-rod, tactical style weapon, an axe, and a variety of other hard-to-carry items. Due to the nature and shape of the items that this attachment was designed for, we do NOT recommend mounting this to the rear of the horse via the saddlebag platform. It is intended and designed to be used on the front of the saddle, mounted to the horn bag platform.
